Carie Small is a co-founder of WSN247 (WSN, Women’s Sports News, a website dedicated to celebrating women’s sports and female athletes) and co-owner of Play Deep Marketing & Media where she specializes in content driven digital and social media in lifestyle, sports and entertainment. She also blogs for several websites about sports and geek culture.
Carie actively supports causes important to her such as the fight against cancer, supporting the troops, fighting hunger and advocating women’s interests.
At an early age, the sport of basketball became very important to Carie and helped not only get her through trying times in her life but presented her with numerous opportunities which have contributed to who she is today. She played basketball in Alabama State University and has also coached both boys and girls for several years. She brings these life experiences, as well as that of being a mother, to Crossover and is excited about introducing children to a sport which can open doors to further their education.
Carie is currently a resident of Florida, but is proud to have grown up in the green mountains of Vermont.
